Hepatitis is a common disease. Though many drugs have been explored to treat it, their effects are not very well. So it is very important to find better liver protective agents. Chalcones were discovered originally in plants. It has many kinds of pharmacological activities,such as antineoplastic,antibacterial,antiparasitic,liver protective effect et al.It is a important way currently to explore new drugs applying active components in Chinese drugs as lead compounds. Chalcones as lead compound have been modificated to find new compounds which have high liver protective effect.Hydroxyl substituted chalcones derivatives have been synthesized in our lab and their liver protective activity were tested.According to screening results,most of the compounds showed potent liver protective effect against mice liver injury induced by D-GaIN/LPS.On the base of our previous work, 2 ' , 4 ' -dihydroxylchalcones and 2 ' , 4 ' , 6 ' -trihydroxylchalcones are designed as the candidates of liver protective agents. 18 target compounds were synthesized and characterized by IR and 1H-NMR,some compounds were confirmed by LC-MS.All the target compounds were tested their liver protective effects against mice liver injury induced by D-GaIN.The test of the result of the pharmacological test is in process.
