Objective: to study the post-operative influence that the choices of incision had on female patients undergone the operation to remove cyclic mixed hemorrhoid. Methods: 86 female patients were divided into two groups-the observing group and the control group to be studied. The combining use of external stripping and internal ligation and "<" and /or">" auxiliary incision were conducted in the observing group while the Milligan-Morgan operation was used in the control group. Results: (1) All the patients were divided into two groups with observing group having 45 cases and control group having 41 cases(2) The comparison of the occurring rate of Perianal pain between the two groups showed statistically significant difference with p<0.05.(3) The comparison of the occurring rates of post-operative anus edema and dysuria showed statistically significant difference with p<0.05.(4) The occurring rates of skin flap edema, pain, hemorrhage and urinary retention in the observing group had significant difference with those of the control group 3, 7 and 16 days after the operations. Conclusion: Using "<" and/or ">" auxiliary incision to treat cyclic mixed hemorrhoid female patients has the advantages of better effect, less pain, fewer complications and so on when compared with using Milligan-Morgan operation.
