Four Taste Turmeric Capsules Pharmacological Research

Siwei jianghuang capsule consists of herbal ingredients extracted from Curcuma,Berberis kansuensis Schneid,Phyllanthus emblicah L. and Tribulus terrestris.Its original formula has the functions of clearing heat and diuresis.To provide evidences to the reasonal clinical use of Siwei jianghuang capsule, we studied its pharmacodynamics from five directions as diuresis, anti-inflammatory, analgesia,antipyretic and antibiosis.The results show that Siwei jianghuang capsule has obvious effects of diuresis and analgesia and it can inhibit inflammation and fervescence caused by inflammation.The mechanism of diuresis is related to increasing the concentration of sodium ion and chloridion in urine. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory is related to decreasing the release of prostaglandinE2 (PGE2).The experiments on Siwei jianghuang capsule of acute toxicity and chronic toxicity providethe evidences to the safe clinical application.
