According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, Liriope. spicata( T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y.T.Ma. is variety of Liriope spicata (Thund.)lour. It is peculiar kind of Hubei Province. It is often used to nourish yin and lung, raise promote the production of body fluid, clear away the heart, relieve restlessness.We study on idioplasm resources of Liriope. spicata{ T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y. T .Ma. in following aspects: (1)Study on the external character and cultivation of Liriope. spicata{Thunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y.T.Ma. (2)Study on chromosome core type of Liriope. spicata( T hunb.)Lour.Var. prolifera Y. T .Ma. (3)Study on the genetic diversity of Liriope. spicata ( T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y. T .Ma by using the method of molecular biology. And the results obtained are as follows:1. Observe the external character of Liriope. spicata( T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y. T .Ma and describe detailed. We also study on influence of single leaf area, root tuber quantity and output, root tuber expand degree, dry substance content because of different culture measures. It is that drawing in early days can improve dry substance content and root tuber quantity, and plucking pedicels than can also improve them, thus the output is high.2. Study on chromosome core type of Liriope.spicata( T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y. T .Ma, its chromosome piece counts to be 54, it is 3 times of body, the core type formula is 2n=3x=54=30m (6SAT) +24sm. The conclusion proves this phenomenon: after ablooming, Liriope.spicata(Thunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y. T. Ma has no fruit.3. Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA( RAPD) is used to analysis the genetic diversity and relationship among the different varieties of Liriope.spicata( T hunb.)Lour. Var. prolifera Y . T .Ma. And 74 sites are detected while 54 are polymopyic, accounting 75.7%. This indicates that the genetic diversity of Liriope. spicata{Thunb.)Lour. Var. proliferaY. T .Ma. is high; we also have the rescaled distance cluster combine and the proximity matrix, they are show that relationship among the different varieties of Liriope.spicata(Thunb.)Lom.Yax.proliferaY.T .Ma. The different habitat is the main factor which affects the genetic distance.
