Experimental Study Of The Real Weapons Tonga Traditional Medicine Treatment Of Chronic Pulmonary Heart Disease Complicated By Heart Failure

In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, chronic pulmonary heart disease belongs to the category including "cough and asthma", "fluid retention", "pulmonary distention" , "palpitation", " edema" and so on. It results from many diseases in pulmonary system which episode repeatedly and lead to pulmonary qi flatulency and insufficient descent of pulmonary qi. In the theory of TCM, most of pulmonary heart diseases, which are in the stage of heart failure, are regarded as the deficiency of heart and kidney yang, internal stagnation of fluid, blood stasis obstructing collaterals and fluid retention invading heart and lung. The related documents of late 20 years were read and we find that many herbalist doctors treat this syndrome types by Zhenwu decoction plus medicinal herbs for activating blood so that the curative effect can be acquired. But the combined application of the two in the treatment of this syndrome types still needs the proof of modern pharmacology. Therefore, the modern pharmacological effects of Zhenwu decoction plus medicinal herbs for activating blood on chronic pulmonary heart disease binding with heart failure were researched. According to our clinical experiences, the proved recipe, which is made up of Zhenwu decoction and Taohongsiwu decoction subtracting Shengdi and plus Oujie and Sumu, was selected as the object. The modern pharmacological effects of the proved recipe on chronic pulmonary heart disease binding heart failure were explored preliminarily.According to the corresponding pharmacological experimental methods, the study was done. The results show that this recipe can increase the urine volume of 4 hour and 6 hour in rats significantly (P<0.01). It can increase the time of mice sustaining anoxia at common atmosphere significantly (P<0.01). It can strengthen the contractility and increase the stroke volume of unorganized frog hearts significantly (P<0.01). It can strengthen the myocardium contractility of rats significantly (P<0.01). At the same time, the diuresis effect and the strengthening heart effect of the proved recipe are better than that of Zhenwu decoction significantly (P<0.01 or P<0.05).The results mentioned above show that in the treatment of chronic pulmonary heart disease binding heart failure, the belter diuresis effect of the proved recipe could decrease blood volume, relieve the burden of right heart and eliminate edema. It s better strengthening heart effect is beneficial to improving heart failure. It s better effect of enhancing organism capability of sustaining anoxia can improve the pathological change which results from anoxia and make it postpone. These results provide evidence of modern pharmacology for clinical application of Zhenwu decoction.
