Objective: To examine the effects of intervention of resolving ctasis and eliminating thlegm against abnormal lipoprotein, the platelet activation and the endothelium unfunction in atherogenesis of rabbit models induced by high fat plus high cholesterol chow. Method:32 healthy male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups:one group was fed normal chow(n=8),another group was fed high lipid diet chow(n=8) served as atherogenesis control (n=8),the third group was fed high-lidid diet chow plus resolving ctasis and eliminating thlegm granule from 12 weeks to 18 weeks (n=8) served as drug treated, the last group was fed high lipid diet chow plus ticlopidine associated with lipitor from 12 weeks to 18 weeks served as compared group (n=8). The blood was drawn from the central ear artery to assay lipoprotein, glycoprotein ,thromboxane A2 ,prostacyclin at the prior experiment.Animals were killed in 18 weeks;the samples of arteries and hearts were taken for morphologic analysis. Results: drug treated group ,the triglycerride, cholesterole, lowdensity lipoprotein ,glycoprotein ,thromboxane A2 were decreased , prostacyclin, highdensity Lipoprotein were increased. Conclusion: abnormal serum lipoprotein, the platelet activation , the endothelium unfunction and the inflammation reaction in the arteriosclerotic lesions exists which can be blocked by intervention of resolving ctasis and eliminating thlegm.
