| Object:Functional Dyspepsia is a frequent illness and it usually occurs.There is no name about the illness in the TCM, but according to the c1-inicar symptom characteristic, it may belong to the syndrome of t he stomachache, the stuffiness in the stomach, the scarcity desire of t he dining, the gastric upset, the frequent vomiting, the spewing,the hi ccup and so on. Now the experimental and the clinical research of hav e pro-ved that TCM has a good effect on the functional dyspepsia.The symptom of XiaoChaiHu of soup is used to treat febrile diseas -e in Shaoyang,marked by alternate attacks of chills and fever,fulle ss in the chest, hypochondric dis-comfort, dysphoria relching,bitter t able in the mouth,dry throat ,thin and whitish fur and taut pulse. Atprese-nt,it has been diffusely used in all the clinic and has had a good effect. In the FD,there is a a good effect,too. In the experim ent,the XiaoChaiHu of soup is researched from protecting stomachvelam en mucos-ity,resist ing injuring of the liver and the gallbladder sys tern, antiv-irus, ameliorating the liver damage,relieving cholestasis,a ccommodati-ng immunity, antiathe-roma and relieving high grease in t he blood, ant-ihypersusceptibility .But ther is few experiments aboutdysfunction of gastrointestinal motility.We study the effect of XiaoChaiHu of soup on the gastrointestina 1 motility sharply from the ability of stomach emptying and the abil i-ty of intestines pussing on the normal Kunming rats by the colorin g matter,and the effect of the electricity of stomach antrum,MTL inthe blood plasma and the duodenum,GAS in the blood serum and the st omach antrum and VIP in the blood plasma and the duodenum on normal S. D ra-ts. By these experement, we know the principle of the gastroint estinal motility on XiaoChaiHu of soup.Methods:In the experiment, the thirty Kunming rats, whose avoirdupois are about twenty grammes, and thirty S. D rats, whose avoirdupois are ab ou-t two hundred grammes, were randomly divided into three groups, 0. 9% NS group, XiaoChaiHu of soup group and Mosapride Citrate group.Every gro-up had ten rats and was dealed with water, XiaoChaiHu of soup and Mosa-pride Citrate. At last,we study the effect of the ability of st omach emptying and the ability of intestines pussing on the Kunming rats. An-d we study the effect of the electricity of stomach, the gast rointestinal hormone in the blood and organize on S. D rats. The Statistical method are F test and Q test. Result:The experiment of gastric emptying rate on mouse has showed thatXiaoChaiHuof soup could promote he gastric mptying ate, there was ve ry remarkable differentce between the XiaoChaiHu of soup group and t he normal group(p<0. 05),and there wasnot significant difference betw een the XiaoChaiHu of soup group and the Mosapride Citrate group(p> 0.05). And there was very remarkable difference between the Mosap-rid e Citrate group and the normal group (p<0. 01).The experiment of intestines pussing rate on rat has showed thatXiaoChaiHu ofsoup could promote the intestines pussing rate,there w asvery remarkable difference between the XiaoChaiHu of soup group a nd the normal group(p<0. 05),and there wasnot significant difference bet-ween the XiaoChaiHu of soup group and the Mosapride Citrate grou p(p>0.05).And there was very remarkable difference between the Mosap ride Citrate group and the normal group(p<0. 01).The experiment of the electricity of stomach S. D rate on mouse ha sshowed that XiaoChaiHu of soup could promote peak value and swing of the electricity on rates,there was remarkable difference between theXiaoChaiHu of soup group and the nor-mal group (p<0. 05),and therewas not significant difference between the XiaoChaiHu of soup grou p and the Mosapride Citrate group(p>0. 05).
