Existing Holter devices mostly record "twenty-four" hour ECG (heart electrical activity) and then perform off-line record analysis. We present realization of a flexible environment based on DSP Holter device for real time ECG processing. This device has a two-CPU (16 bit MCU+DSP) structure. High speed DSP handles signal processing in real time and MCU (MSP430F149) processes all other general purpose such as acquisition, storage, display of ECG signal and communication with PC. It can store 24'h two channel signal in a 64M bytes FLASH memory, and display the real time signal or menu on LCD.With high performance of digital signal processing, it can implement most functions of exiting devices. The signal processing contains baseline drift suppression and 50Hz interference elimination by NRFIR filter and ECG character point detection by wavelet. At the same time, it is a warning device for some severe cardiac arrhythm -ias, such as tachycardia, bradycardia. With the advantages of small volume, low height and low power consumption suitable for battery operation, it is especially fit for telemedicine and daily monitoring at home as portable device. This paper contains the knowledge about high speed digital design, weak signal amplifying and real time signal processing...
