Leaves Phyllanthus Compound Against Chronic Hepatitis B Immune Pharmacodynamic Study

Viral hepatitis B is a common infectious disease with the main pathology of inflammation of the liver, degeneration and necrosis of the bepatocyte. The pathological change of hepatocytes caused by HBV is due to the excessive immunodepression or immunoenhancement. HBV has been greatly threatening the human health and lives nowadays.The capsule of Phyliathus Complex (PC) is a Traditional Chinese herbal combination, which consists of Phyliathu urinaria Linn (PUL), and Astragallus membranaceus (Fisch) Bge (ALB), etc. its function is to clear away heat and toxic material and to soothe the liver and regulate the circulation of Qi.The compositions of PC not only inhibit the replication of HBV, but also improve the immunity and protect the liver function. It is formulated based on the abundant clinical experience of Chinese Traditional Medicine and the method of modem molecular virology.In order to explore and evaluate its effects on protecting hepatocytes, decreasing aminotransferase, regulating the immune system, we carried out on experimental study on pharmacodynamics on its ingredients.The results of the experiment indicate that: 1 .the PC under all the three dosages can improve acute hepatic injury caused by CCL4 and GaLN-induced significantly. The PC has effects on protecting hepatocytes and decreasing aniinotransferase. The PC also has a marked effect on the liver damage induced by BCG+LPS, suppress the sGPT level and reduce BCG+LPS induced liver damage.2.The PR can modulate the immune system. It has inhibitory effect on humoral immunity and enhances the phagocytic function reticloendotheliai system (RES) in mice.The paper also discusses the mechanism of Chronic Hepatitis B from the viewpoints of neuroimmunoendocrinre network.
