Objective:To seek an accessible and green therapy for hyperlipemia patients and develop the lipid-lowering value of Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, this paper fully explores the medicine resources of the Three Gorges Reservoir area, annalyzes and compares the lipid-lowering effects of Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. Crataegus pinnatifida Bge., Xuezhikang through the clinical experiment studies, and thus clarifies the lipid-lowering effect of Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. of the Three Gorges Reservoir area.Methods:Based on the research design, the hyperlipemia patients meeting the selective criterions were divided into A,B,C,D four groups randomly, using the low fat diet+Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc., the low fat diet+Crataegus pinnatifida Bge., the low fat diet+Xuezhikang capsule, the low fat diet for lipid-lowering separately. The determination result of blood-lipid before treatment was the cardinal level, the TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C four indexes were determined the three months after the treatment separately, then input into the computer, statistically analyzed with SPSS 15.0.Results:The effect analysis result indicated that Xuezhikang, Crataegus pinnatifida. Bge., Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. can decrease TG, TC and incarease HDL-C effectively. The Xuezhikang group, Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. group, Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. group all achieved good effect after the treatment. The effect of Xuezhikang group was the best,while the low fat diet group was the worst. A significant difference exists between the two groups (P<0.05). The Xuezhikang group were best in reducing Tc, LDL-c and increasing HDL-c, Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. and Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. can also lower blood-lipid level obviously, but there were no significant difference between them(P>0.05), while lipid dropped least in the low fat diet group. In reducing TG, there were no significant difference between the Xuezhikang, Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. group and the Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. group(P>0.05), all better than the low fat diet group.Conclusion:The Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. of the Three Gorges Reservoir area has a good effect in adjusting hyperlipemia level. For dyslipidemia therapy, the Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. of the Three Gorges Reservoir area firstly can lower the level of blood-lipid effectively; secondly, the wild traditional Chinese medicine resources of the Three Gorges Reservoir area can be developed and utilized fully; thirdly, it may avoid some side effects which occur in other lipid-lowering medicines; fourthly, this kind of medication can be easily accepted by the hyperlipemia crowd. Therefore, as a kind of traditional Chinese medicine resources the Crataegus cuneatae Sieb.et Zucc. should obtain more attention, better development and wider utilization.
