The Yongquan Drug Sticking The Clinical Efficacy Of The Treatment Of Hypertension Observed

In recent 20 years, due to the rapid development of socio-economic and lifestyle changes, incidence and risk factors of cardiovascular disease in China is on a growing trend. According to the 2002 national survey on the nutrition and health information, adult prevalence rate of hypertension was 18.8% which showed about 160 million hypertensive patients throughout the country, and with an increasing of hypertensive patients of more than 6 million each year, and another 1.5 million people die of stroke caused by hypertension. Indeed, hypertension poses a serious threat to the health of the people in China as an important disease. Hypertension and is closely related to many chronic diseases, which can lead to arteriosclerosis, hardening of blood vessels, organ damage, cerebral vascular disorders, coronary artery disease, heart disease, kidney disease, and arterial vascular disease with death. Hypertension becomes the leading cause of death in cardiovascular disease. China is among the highest risk of victim of hypertension in world.ObjectiveThe objective of the study is to evaluate and to observe the clinical effects of treatment of hypertension by drug application onto Yongquan acupoint, k1, merged with western medicine treatment as compared to with western medicine alone in treatment of hypertension.Methods80 cases of hypertensive patients were enrolled with randomized into treatment group of 40 and control group of 40. The treatment group was treated with herb drugs application onto Yongquan acupoint, kl,merged with orally taking western medicine Amlodipine besylate 5mg tablet, qd concurrently. The control group was defined as taking amlodipine besylate 5mg qd, orally alone.The symptoms and signs of pre-treatment and post-treatment on both groups were analyzed statistically. The results objectively reflect in quantitative evaluation the situation in before and after treatment of two groups in symptomatic improvement, and compared their different efficacy.The changes of pre-treatment and post-treatment in symptoms and signs in both groups were compared and analyzed to assess the effects of two kinds of therapy on treatment of hypertension. Both groups either drug application onto Yongquan acupoint,kl, merged with taking amlodipine besylate 5mg qd,orally or taking with amlodipine besylate 5mg,qd,orally alone can efficiently lowering blood pressure, improving its symptoms and signs, and prove to have prominent effects on treatment of hypertension clinically.2. The group with drug application onto Yongquan acupoint,kl, merged with concurrently taking amlodipine besylate 5mg,qd, shows superior efficacy than single use of amlodipine besylate 5mg alone.Conclusions1. Either drugs application onto Yongquan acupoint k1, merged with taking amlodipine besylate 5mg,qd,orally and single use of taking amlodipine besylate 5mg qd,orally alone can effectively reducing blood pressure, both in systolic and diastolic pressure.2. Drug application ontoYongquan acupoint,kl, merged with concurrently taking amlodipine besylate 5mg,qd,orally shows more superior efficacy than as compared to taking amlodipine besylate 5mg qd orally alone.3. Drug application onto Yongquan acupoint,kl, merged with amlodipine besylate5mg, qd,orally can effectively alleviating the symptoms and signs of hypertension.4. Drug application onto Yongquan acupoint,kl, merged with taking amlodipine besylate 5mg orally qd, shows better efficacy than single use of amlodipine besylate 5mg qd, orally alone.5. On reducing blood pressure, drug application onto Yongquan acupoint k1 merged with taking amlodipine besylate 5mg orally is superior to single use of amlodipine besylate 5mg orally alone.6. On clinical therapeutic effects, drug application onto Yongquan acupoint,kl, merged with concurrently taking amlodipine besylate 5mg orally is prominently superior than single use of amlodipine besylate 5mg orally alone.
