Tcm Syndromes Of Cervical Human Papillomavirus Infection And Drug Law

ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to explore the syndrome type distribution in cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. And the literatures on the treatment of human papillomavirus infection with Chinese medicine were collected from CNKI dated in the range from January 1994 to August 2010. The characteristics of herbal formulas were summarized through frequency analysis so as to probe into the laws of the differentiation of syndrome and treatment of the disease in Chinese medicine.Methodsâ‘ 54 cases of CIN patients and HPV infection were chosen by integrating retrospective investigation. After designed the clinical observation table,the patients were divided into four groups according to the standard of the syndrome:damp abundance due to splenic deficiency, dampness-heat attacking lower energizer, deficiency of kidney-yin, deficiency of kidney-yang. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome type distribution in HPV infection was summed up.â‘¡The formulas and drugs were analyzed and classified statistically to observe the use frequency and percentage of every drug and type of syndrome.Results1.The proportions of each TCM syndrome type among all the patients were as follows:dampness-heat attacking lower energizer > deficiency of kidney-yin=deficiency of kidney-yang> damp abundance due to splenic deficiency.There was no significant difference among the four groups of TCM syndrome types in CIN levels (p> 0.05)2.There are totally 78 kinds of drugs applied,which is classified into 27 categories in terms of functions.15 major categories were integrated further, of which, the frequency of drug application in the categories of clearing away heat and of replenishing deficiency, and of diuretics for eliminating dampness is 67.60%.The drug for clearing away occupies the top position in use frequency, and replenishing deficiency drug the second. ConclusionBy clinical observation and the analysis on formula application in HPV infection in Chinese Medicine, the most common clinical syndrome type is dampness-heat attacking lower energizer.
