Mobile phone industry has developed for more than 20 years in China and has formed a complete industrial chain now. With the growth of contribution to GDP and exports, mobile phone industry is more and more important in the national economy. For the moment, there are some researches on this industry, but most of which is based on micro level. The international competitiveness of the industry is studied in this paper in the view of medium level. So the research has some practical significance.Based on deeply study of industrial competitiveness-related theory and literatures, the international competitiveness of the general theory and evaluation index are introduced into mobile phone industries in this paper. Paper refers to Porter "diamond" model, qualitative analysis of six factors which impact the international competitiveness of China's mobile phone industry, including the four main factors and two secondary factors. Analysis of the six factors set forth in the development of China's mobile phone industry, the advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include lower manufacturing costs, production staff and technical personnel, domestic demand, complete industrial chain, full market competition, which is the international competitiveness of China's mobile phone industry. Disadvantages include lack of top talent, focus in the low-end chain, and low level of corporate management, lack of core technology and international brands, which is the restriction barriers to enhance industrial competitiveness. The chapter 5 refers to the relevant research about industry international competitiveness evaluation index system, extracting of two important indicators which is market share and RCA, in order to quantitative analysis of international competitiveness in cell phone industry. The result indicates that China is a big country of Producing and exporting mobile phone, not strong mobile phone industry. It still has so big gap between local phone companies and international companies. The local brand companies have a difficult time and the Cottage is Unsustainable in present increasing situation. From the RCA indicators, industry's international competitiveness of China mobile phone is on the rise as a whole.In the last chapter, paper points out series of measures to enhance the international competitiveness of China's mobile phone industry from government and enterprise aspects. On the government hand, paper advice it could support innovation, promote the development of industrial clusters, and properly handle the issue of cottage phone. From the company aspect, paper suggests it timely adjustment of development strategy and gives some advice to market development, including the promoting at home and abroad market, Cooperation with domestic and foreign operators, innovative marketing channels, brand and service system building. Lastly, paper says company should focus on research and development and strengthen the promoting of important components, software and smart phone.
