Chengdu-chongqing Economic Zone Competitiveness Evaluation And Empirical Research

Since the reform and opening-up,the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone,the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone,the BohaiSea Economic Area in succession rise,lead the rapid rise in China's eastern region,but also further windened the gap between east west.In recent years,China's increasing emphasis on the development of the western region,and chengdu-chongqing Economic Zone,as the leading western region,will naturally lead the development of the western economy and to play its role in radiation driven economic development in other parts of the west,become the new economic growth pole after the three major economic zones.This paper based on regionaleconomics,comparative economics and competition theory,through the competitive research of Chengdu-chongqing Economic Zone and the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone,the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone,the Bohai sea Economic Area,to find the shortcomings and the gaps of the Chengdu-chongqing Economic Area in the process of development,in order to achieve its objective evaluation.Each city of the Economic Zone as the starting point in this article,through the researchof their's competitiveness to evaluate the Economic Zones'compertitiveness.First of all,according to the design priciples of evaluation, integrated use of frequency analysis,theoretical nanlysis and expert advice to eatablish the regional evaluation indexes system,including economic development strength ,infrastructure strength,social development strength these three level indicators and other twenty-0ne two indecators.Secondely, use Grey fixed weight clustering method,separated analysis the economic development,instructure and social development of all the cities in Chengdu-chongqing Economic Zone and the three economic zones. Cluster analysis results can be obtained from the various economic classification of cities in the region, and thus can evaluate the economic zone's competitiveness in all areas. Again, using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to fuzzy comprehensive evaluatie all cities in the region, obtain city's comprehensive competitiveness scores, establish economic zone competitive comprehensive evaluation model and then evaluate the competitiveness level of the economic areas .It found that ,the economic development and infrastucture of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone fall far short of the three economic areas and its internal development is extremely unbalanced,because of irrational industrial structure,urban-rural dual structure. Finally,in view of the exist problen in the process of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone economic development.proposed that it must speen up the adjustment of industrial structure,speed up the infrastucture building such sa transportationand construct regional technology innovation system.
