Explore The Joint Development Of China's Tourism And Exhibition Industry Model

Tourism Industry and MICE Industry have been referred to as the "Green Industry" and "City of Bread". In recent years, it became a growth point of national economy. Although both industries have the common characters in purpose and performances, they highly shared resources, and have impact to each other when processing. In creation of a conservation-minded society, this paper applies to the sustainable development concept to explore the joint development model between Tourism and MICE Industry to convince every part of China which model to apply and which solution to take for joint development basing on their characters.Chapter I introduces the research background of this paper, related concepts of tourism and MICE industry, the theory support to the joint development, research ideas and methods, as well as the significance of the joint development between them, which laid the foundation of the argument in this paper.Chapter II focuses on the tourism and MICE industry in the national economy and their role in promoting the national economy. By listing a series of data, both industries affirmed the importance of national economic development, and further discussed the positive meaning of joint development between Tourism Industry and MICE Industry.Chapter III discusses the basis of joint development for tourism and MICE, which is focusing on the feasibility of joint development and analysis of interaction mechanism. Meanwhile, this paper, through analysis of tourism industry and MICE industry chain, seeks for both of commonness and individuality, and on this basis, to explore the interaction mechanisms and processes.Chapter IV is a case analysis. Las Vegas and Singapore are internationally famous for their tourist resorts and MICE destinations. However, they adapt different patterns on joint development of tourism and MICE industry; these are Tourism-leading and MICE-driving respectively. So, this paper analyzes these two cities and summarizes the characteristics of two patterns and meaning of application in order to provide reference for selection of proper joint development pattern for all parts of China during the joint development of tourism and MICE industry.Chapter V is an empirical analysis of joint development patterns. According to the actual situation in Pudong New Area, this chapter raises the joint development pattern of MICE-driving, analyzes the supporting of this pattern father, gives the measures of joint development, and brings the solutions base on the existing problem during the joint development.Chapter VI puts forward some suggestions and proposals on joint development for tourism and MICE industry in China base on the advanced experience from abroad and empirical analysis of Pudong New Area. Through discussion on three levels, law, policy and market, it is to build the framework of China's tourism and MICE industry joint development.
