This paper first reviews the definition, sources and measurement of corporation's competitiveness. And then choose 610 listed companies form A-share market as samples. Through factor analysis, this paper measures the competitiveness index of the sample companies. Then, based on the competitiveness index, this paper do correlation, one-way analyse of variance and regression research between the competitiveness index and other influence factors such as the competition strength of the market, the degree of business diversification, companies' ownership structures. And get useful conclusions form the research which includes:(1) There are no significant negative correlations between companies' competitiveness and the level of industry competition.(2) There are no significant negative correlations between companies' competitiveness and the time which companies have listed in the market.(3) The higher share holding rates the first shareholder hold, the more competitiveness that company will be.(4) There are significant negative correlations between companies' competitiveness and companies' diversation level. Over-diversification means the weakest competitiveness of companies.Those conclusions can be used as guides for companies to shape and strength their competitiveness. Also they are helpful to investors or other stakeholders selecting companies with strong competitiveness out.
