Panyu's Shipbuilding Industry Development Issues From A Public Management Perspective

The shipbuilding industry is an important component in the national economy. The shipbuilding industry in Panyu has a long history, which plays an important role in the development of our country's shipbuilding industry. According to "the Shipbuilding industry Medium and Long-term Development project (2006-2015)" , analyses were conducted on the current development of domestic and foreign shipbuilding industry and its experiences, as well as the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats in developing shipbuilding industry in Panyu.Learned from the experiences and lessons, suggestions were proposed: 1. promoting the development of shipbuilding industry in Panyu District with scientific planning and rational distribution; 2. increasing the size and raising the level of shipbuilding related industries by attracting investment; 3. more policy support; 4. strenghtening management to the shipyard, espcially safety management; 5. building a team of professionals; 6. building a environment-protected model of shipbuilding.It was also concluded that the shipbuilding industry would be a new stimulant to investment in Panyu.
