Mortgage-Backed Securitization (MBS) in the United States has long been recognized as a successful MBS model, which is a good example for other countries to imitate. However, the 2007 United States sub-prime mortgage crisis exposed the problems of MBS in the United States. With the beginning of the analyzing of U.S. sub-prime crisis, this dissertation takes an in-depth insight on the MBS in the United States, with a view to obtaining useful implication to MBS in China.This dissertation is organized as follows. Firstly, it reviews the domestic and oversea literature concerning MBS in U.S., U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis and MBS in China. And it presents its subject of MBS in China from a point of view of U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis. Secondly, it describes its development of MBS in U.S., playing an emphases on its recently fast development and traits of MBS in U.S. Thirdly, it analyses its development, reason and effect of U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis. Fourthly, it discusses the problems of MBS in U.S. which were discovered in the U.S sub-prime mortgage crisis. Finally, after reviewing the development of MBS in China, it analyzes the implication of the U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis to the development of MBS in China and puts forward some advice.At present, China is actively promoting mortgage-backed securitization. This dissertation, taking U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis as study object, discusses MBS in U.S. from a new and converse perspective. And it offers some advice about MBS in China. A new analytical perspective possibly is an innovation of this dissertation.
