The core part of spatial decision support system for hazardous material (hazmat for short) transportation is risk assessment and optimal path choose. The main work in this paper includes: (i) through analyzing some classical risk assessment models, the author presents a synthesized risk assessment model which has greater advantage than other single classical model such as conditional model, traditional model etc; (ii) according to requirements such as risk equity and path backup needed by hazmat transportation decision, the author modifies an available algorithm for finding K dissimilar path, and offers an algorithm for finding K spatial dissimilar path; (iii) according to different risk assessment models and different decision methods, the author presents several network design models. Moreover, the author successfully applies the synthesized model into the decision objective, and offers some solving methods for the finding K dissimilar path and the reoptimating problem.
