Xinghua Stainless Steel Industry Cluster Development Strategy

With the development of marketing process of China's economy, industrial clusters have mushroomed in many places and have become a strategic mode of regional economic development. As the domestic and overseas theories and practices show, industrial cluster plays an important role in promoting regional economic development and improving regional economy competitive power, and it is a significant approach of raising regional competitive advantages. It is essential for the city of Xinghua, which is being endeavored to build an ecological city with prosperous economy, to reconsider the development strategy of the city with a viewpoint of competitive advantage, and put emphases of the economic development strategy of the city on the stainless steel industrial clusters.Through research on the theory of industrial cluster and domestic and overseas experiences this article analyses the development status of Xinghua stainless steel industry and the problems in its industrial upgrading process, on the basis of analysis and conclusion of the formation mechanism of an industrial cluster and its competitive advantages, and put forward specific development strategy of Xinghua stainless steel industry. It also makes suggestions on how to cultivate, develop and promote the continued innovative advantages of the industry cluster from the role of the government.
