H Urban Construction Financing Problems

Over the past five years, China's economy has maintained a rapid growth momentum. From 2003 to 2006, China's GDP has rapidly grown with over 10.4 percents every year. With the acceleration of economy globalization, the world economy is recovering. Statistics have showed that average growth rates of the world's economy from 2003 to 2006 is 4.9 percents 2003-2006, as 2.7% for developed countries and 7.4% for developing countries. This phenomenon indicates that the growth of China's economy has been higher than the world's average rate.With the development of economic globalization, China's urbanization process has been accelerated, and China's population has grown rapidly which has also brought a range of issues, including a serious shortage of urban construction funds which was caused by the shortage of supply of urban infrastructure construction.With the radiation of Shanghai's economy, city of H, an old-based city in the northern Jiangsu Province, is also rapidly developing. The city government has pledged to push ahead with infrastructure, social welfare and public service facilities building with the aim of speeding up the urbanization process of modernization and developing bigger and stronger center. As a member of city construction system, to be in coordination with city financing reform, the author has analyzed the status quo of the city H's financing of the construction based on the study of basic urban construction financing theory. Also this thesis has proposed and the basic ideas and specific countermeasures for city of H's urban construction financing with the combination of the successful practice and operation of urban construction at home and abroad.
