In this paper we analysis a dual-source,production-inventory model in which subcontractor has time-delay.This production-inventory system fulfil stochastic, stationary demand for a single finished-goods;inventory can be replenished by two production resource,in-house production and out-house production which we call the subcontractor;the subcontractor cannot immediately fulfil the manufacture's demand, there is some content time-delay which we call subcontracting with timedelay. Our purpose for this paper is to advantage some queue theorem to resolve some production-inventory many of numerical indexes, include:giving the optimal closed-form solution of dual-source policy base-stock;when the main production capacity is determined, analysis the subcontracting contingent model whether a preventive policy or reactive policy;when base-stock is determined, discuss how to solve the optimal production capacity.During solving these problems, firstly we represent the production-inventory's production and demand process as a queue process's service and demand process;then we prove that even there is a time-delay which is a count and fulfil some conditions, the time-delay does not inflecting the final system stationary;finally we advantage the Brownian approximation research some related problems. We find that Brownian approximation is very accuracy.
