As the core of social economy, electronic-commerce will not only change people's shopping way, but also have a tremendous impact in all aspects of life, among which, employment is the most important one.Employment is the foundation for building the country, and the policy for stabling the people.Nowadays, with the continuous progress of technology, the sustained development of economy, and gradual improvement of the people's living standard, a world-wide problem runs before us, and that is unemployment. The unemployment problem has increasingly become the focus of people's attention, especially for the developing countries like China, which has more population and fewer resources. How to use limited resources to increase employment has become the key for economic development.Science and technology are the primary productive force.Science and technology's progress has promoted economic growth and created new employment opportunities, but also brought structural unemployment, inevitably. As an emerging information-technology revolution, how e-commerce affect employment? How to alleviate the country's employment pressure through the development of e-commerce? This is the purpose of this paper.After comparing the electronic-commerce and technological revolution, the production and development of e-commerce between china and abroad, the impact e-commerce brought to the industrial and employment structure, this paper introduces the changes of industrial and employment structure in Liaoning Province taken by e-commerce. Taking Dalian City and Fuxin City as an example, the paper compares and analyses the promoting role of e-commerce. At the end, makes measures on easing employment problem through the development of e-commerce.This paper divides into six parts and starts from the similarity and difference between e-commerce and past technological revolution. The second part compares the similarity of their development processes and the uniqueness of the content of e-commerce.Part three analyses the impact of technological advances on employment from the perspective of horizontal and vertical. On this basis, this chapter researches the changes of industrial structure and employment structure causing by the development of e-commerce using economic theories, at the same time, compares the evolution of industry and employment structures.Part four of the paper deeply studies the impact of electronic commerce on employment with an example of Liaoning Province, and introduces the development of e-commerce in Fuxin City and Dalian City on the basis of the status quo, and analyses the differences between the two cities in industry and employment structures. Through examples, this section illustrate the role of developing e-commerce and related industries, areas, as well as actively adjusting the industrial structure, promoting the upgrading of the industrial structure, in alleviating employment pressures.Part five of the paper recommends corresponding countermeasures from below areas, which are develop labor-intensive industries appropriately, optimize the industrial structure, increase the intensity of e-commerce investment, improve the investment environment, and increase human resources training. The recommendations provide references for easing China's employment pressure through developing e-commerce.Finally, the article summaries the content, and rises the issues needed to be discussed in the future.The innovation of this paper lies in integrating e-commerce and technological revolution closely, and with the example of Liaoning Province, analyses as an emerging technology revolution how the development of the e-commerce influences the structure of industry and employment, thus propose the recommendations. |
