Young people are the future and hope of the society, the process of economic development is the most value-added potential of human resources. In order to survive and future development, each youth are engaged in a lot of investment in human capital, looking for a suitable place for himself to work, then education and employment are the two basic rights. Youth employment and investment in human capital are very close to each other. In general, young people and direction of the capital investment will determine the industry and specific jobs in which young people will engage , investment on human capital already include some expectation on the youth's future, or they invest on human capital according to the future job that they want to take. They must recognize that the relationship between and make a reasonable choice correctly.There exits lagged effects between human capital investment and employment. Therefore, the youth in human capital investment must not only adapt to the changing demands of the labor market, but also the future of the labor market with a scientific expectations, as far as possible to avoid the supply demand imbalance caused by structural unemployment.Human capital investment for the youth mainly focuses on school education. There are already many literatures on this problem, but most of them studied, from macro perspective, relationship among education structure, employment and development. The paper analyzes human capital investment and employment, the difficulty of the job as investment in human capital gains from the micro perspective. According to the situation of employment of the youth, the thesis conducts an empirical analysis. Results show that the young people with high professional qualification are employed more easily, wages are higher. On the contrary, it is very difficult or the wage level is very low. In contrast to the theory of high academic talents, qualifications for low-skilled workers are more welcomed by employers, even the supply is inadequate. So the youth should invest in human capital depending on their own situations and the demands, not solely pursuing high academic degrees. Everyone knows that the higher qualifications greater the risk. Human capital investment of the young people and employment and the whole society should take it seriously: the government must play a macro-control functions, and actively take steps to manage and direct; Teaching colleges and universities to reform, to set reasonable profession, improving the ability to train students; Young people must have the reasonable opinion on this problem, make rational decisions.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction that proposes the problem of employment and investment in human capital issues of the youth, focuses on relevant literature, then introduce the motivation and methods the thesis employ.The second chapter is about human capital theory for the young people. We discuss basic concept of the theory , propose a theoretic model and evaluate the effect of income and the labor market mechanism and the mechanism for decision on investment in human capital.An Empirical Analysis is done in the third chapter. Based on the Liaoning relevant situation, according to the different cases in human capital situations, the young people in Liaoning is divided into college graduates, early high school graduates, rural youth, then introduce the state of employment respectively and analyze the exiting problems.The fourth chapter is the policy suggestions mainly from college, government and individuals.
