As the popular trend of energy resources sweeps through the whole world, the energy resources have been deemed as a critical part in the international relations. In the meantime, all the countries have gradually begun to attach great importance to the resources diplomacy. China has become the world's second largest oil- import country. Its oil-importing security is, to great extent, not regarded as optimistic. Therefore, the multi-paths for oil imports, as a necessary choice, will be bound for China to get out of the dilemma. The Caspian Sea in the mid-Asian areas has been considered as a focus for the big powers to fight for energy resources due to its rich reserves. The mid-Asia is our next-door neighbor. At present, the political relations are quite closely linked as well as the economic and trade exchanges grow between the mid-Asia and our country. Meanwhile, the mid-Asia indeed plays an important part in China's 21st century oil grand strategy. While China is gradually involved into this region for exploration and cooperation in terms of energy resources, she will definitely be faced with different kinds of challenges. As for China, the research upon the mid-Asia, the mid-Asia energy diplomacy in particular, has been one of the important subjects. The paper gives a profound analysis of the energy catch-22 which China is faced with, the struggles for energy in the mid-Asia between the great powers all over the world, and the measures which the mid-Asia countries have taken, and then puts forward the author's own viewpoints. At the same time, it takes China-Kazakhstan oil-pipeline, which came into operation not long ago, as an example, and goes an in-depth and comprehensive analysis into the diplomatic struggles between the United States, Russia, Japan, Europe and China; puts the contemporary theories of international relations into the understandings of the mid-Asia energy diplomacy; and tries to make its own contributions to China's mid-Asia resources diplomacy..
