Bretton Woods System, The Impact On The World Financial Order And Countermeasures

One important aspect of US hegemony is the world currency position of US dollar, this position begins from Bretton Woods System. This dissertation discovers the essence of Bretton Woods System is the hegemony statute of US dollar, US dollar hegemony is the base of US hegemony. It also point out that the US dollar hegemony is not ceased in Jamaica system, in some means it has been reinforced, in fact Jamaica system is a kind of continues of Bretton Woods System, it can be called as post-Bretton Woods System. It prove that the impact of Bretton Woods System do not vanish follow the system's collapse, the US dollar hegemony established from this system has great influence to the economics and politics of the world. At the same time, this dissertation analysises the important problems such as foreign reserve, RMB exchange rate and internationalization, in which we must face the US dollar hegemony in the development of Chinese economy. At last, this dissertation makes a research of the method of these problems under the environments of globalization and economic elements occupy more and more important position in the international relations, the final purpose is to uphold national interests and promote the economic development.
