| Performance assessment, as one of the essential indexes evaluating managing process, is playing an increasing role in bank management. By means of performance assessment, the staff may become aware of their deficiency, and carry forward their favorable behavior as well. In addition, this assessment has directly been connected with salary and promotion. However, the present situation of performance assessment is not so satisfactory. In some enterprises, on the one hand, it is not carried out normally but superficially; on the other hand, it is not effective but goes opposite. Consequently, it seems feasible and necessary to analyze the real situation of performance assessment and put forward a more reasonable assessment system.Changsha Branch of China Everbright Bank has been actively exploring the effective means in performance assessment and obtained plenty of experience. But with the continuous change in financial environment at home and abroad, the present performance assessment does not serve management well.Considering the current exertion of SXSW and BSC in performance assessment in Changsha Branch of China Everbright Bank, this paper makes a research and advances some suggestions on how to process performance assessment in commercial banks. Through the establishment of comprehensive assessment system, it is expected that performance assessment is improved, the passion of staff for work is promoted and the competitive power of enterprises in market economy is enhanced. |
