Central Water Companies Based On The Shipping Industry Competitive Assessment

The shipping industry developed quickly with the progress of world economic and international trade. Both the developed country and developing country realized the importance of shipping industry on the economy.Our country had paid attention on the development of shipping industry for our government taken means of the importance of on the world trade and the transportation of national power resource such as petroleum.After the reform of China, the fleets of our country have been optimized. The quantity and technique level have been promoted with the development of our economy. Though the progress was great, the distance with the global advanced enterprise is clearly in the scale, structure of fleets and core competence. Especially in the era of Information Technology, the structure of all industry changed greatly.Based on the position and function of shipping enterprise on our economy, we should analyze seven main national-hold shipping enterprises and evaluated their competence in the market. Here we compare our national-hold enterprises with the global shipping in the management idea, capital operation, technique and some other scales. After the foundation of index, we applied AHP-F method on the synthesized evaluation for the main national-hold shipping enterprise and the sample of global shipping enterprises.From the result of competence, we suggest the main national-hold enterprises to aim at the modification of structure to face the global challenge, also the operation idea should change for the foster of core competence. In additional, the specialization of the strategy should be applied on the operation strategy for the foundation and development of core competence.
