Trade Integration In East Asia And China's Strategic Goal Of Choice

The economic globalization and regional integration are the main topic in the world. Since 1980, depending on the development of the information technology, the trend of economic globalization has spread all over the world, and this rapid spread has promoted the affiliation between many neighbor countries. In the era of globalization, it is positive and advisable for the adjacent countries to cooperate in economic field as a trial for deeper cooperation. The trade integration of East Asia also has important strategic meaning for district and global integration.Through the analysis of integrative background, cooperative situation and patterns, the paper comes to some main conclusion as: China, Japan, Korea and the ASEAN countries FTA will benefit all the member countries; any country, as long as participants in any kind of FTA, will bring itself some extend of economic advantage. On the contrary, if a country keeps distance from any integration, its economic benefit will be ill affected. So, in order to benefit themselves, East Asia countries should keep a cooperative attitude and positively participant in the FTA.So, the economic integration of East Asia tallies with the economic rules and the East Asia countries benefit. At the same time, as a great economic and political power country, China should be active and positive in the integrative progress. Since the innovation and opening to the outside world, China has tied up closely with other countries in the trade area and the ASEAN countries take an irreplaceable status in the trade area of China. On the other hand, on the basis of rapid development of national power, China has vaster market and more investment chances which can promote the economic prosperity of East Asia. As long as East Asia can stick to the original plan and carry it out step by step, a newly powerful Asia will come into being in the near further, and this will promote the form of a newly ordered world economy pattern.
