With the rapid development of global economy, Developed countries take the low-end manufacturing industry transferred to developing countries, they vigorously develop high-end industry, especially in high technical content, high value-added producer services, such as finance, logistics, research &development. Producer service is the industry for producers to service, plays a more and more important role for industrial and economic development. After 30 years of reform and opening up, development of china's manufacturing industry gradually turn to more and more strong. With industrialization some manufacturing internal service gradually alienated out. The scale of producer services is enlarged. Especially developed coastal cities, to ensure the effective utilization of resources, are accelerating the readjustment of industrial structure. Producer service is becoming a top priority and key industry of cities urban competitiveness.As the synthetically reform city of national services, Chengdu puts forward building "garden city" in the world. It is more urgent and necessary for Chengdu to develop producer services. There are several advantages: perfect infrastructure, broader economic hinterland, accelerating industrialization, rich human resources, superior humane and natural environment. It provides conditions as Chengdu to speed up the development of producer services.This paper first according to the domestic and foreign literature review of producer services, summarizes the concepts, classification, characteristics and development trend; Secondly, with some characteristic index and the large data, deeply analyses producer services in Chengdu in three aspects: the overall situation, branch line of business status, space condition, and compares with development status of producer services in domestic partial cities, then find conclusion of overall evaluation of producer services in Chengdu; another, analyzes the problems and reasons existing in Chengdu producer services; another, demonstrates necessity and advantages to development producer services in Chengdu; Finally, puts forward paths and measures to speed up the development of Chengdu producer services. This paper hopes through the research of the development of Chengdu producer services, providing certain theoretical basis and reference, in order to speed up the economic development and accelerating Chengdu urban construction.
