As the knowledge economy era, there is a growing awareness of technological advances on the important role of economic growth, technological progress and scientific and technological input is the material basis and premise, so in order to promote the continued growth of the economy, we must increase the scientific and technological input. However, only in the effective implementation of technology into the case, in order to ensure economic growth and the interaction between the healthy and better services for economic growth, therefore, from a theoretical and empirical research on scientific and technological input in Xinjiang and its contribution to economic growth have very significant value, and this is the significance of this thesis.Judging from the full text of this article,first sort out the technology investment and economic growth theories, to find science and technology investment and economic growth of the theory; Analysis economic growth in Xinjiang in recent years and the current status of science and technology investment to identify its problems and shortcomings,then indicate that economic healthy and fast growth of Xinjiang needs science and technology input.Analysis of economic growth mainly from the total growth rate, efficiency and other aspects, the analysis of the scientific and technological input mainly from the total amount of scientific and technological input, source, direction and other aspects of the use; Secondly, the use of cointegration test, impulse response function model and other quantitative methods analysis the interaction between Science & Technology and economic growth in Xinjiang. Use Solow residual method based on C-D production function to calculate the contribution of Xinjiang Science and Technology to economic growth, and analysis the impact factors of the contribution rate of science and technology to economic growth; more, analysis the output of science and technology investment in Xinjiang efficiency and technological achievements conversion situation; Finally, propose countermeasures on technology based on the actual situation around the Xinjiang, in order to provide scientific and practical information to making scientific and technological Policy in Xinjiang.The conclusions are as follows by analyzing, first of all, exist the long-term close two-way interaction between Xinjiang Science & Technology investment and the economic growth, although economic growth response to science and technology investment exist delays in the short term, but in the long term science and technology investment play an important role in promoting the economic growth.Secondly,1988-2008 the contribution rate of science and technology investment to the economic growth generally maintained the level of 20.4136% in Xinjiang, in the whole country is still at low level. Again, The output of the current science and technology investment in Xinjiang less efficient, scientific and technological achievements into practical productive forces are weak. Finally, There are also insufficient in Science and technology investment,raise financing system,management system Etc. so,we should increase the intensity of reform in all areas, to improve the effect of science and technology investment to the economic growth.
