Supplier management process is a very important support process for the business operation. If the organization using the scientific method, and effectively use of the limited resources of the enterprise external resources, it would be enhance competitiveness in market economy environment. Traditional process is more based on lower transactions prices to reach the efficiency of procurement. This approach is only concerned about the phenomenon but neglect of the poor hidden costs of procurement. This will lead to purchasing decision-makers make wrong decisions on how to establish and develop relationships with suppliers for long-term.This thesis focuses on the core issues by choose YD company as study object, which be located in Shunde District of PRD(Pearl River Delta) in where the economy is one of the most concentrated areas and has many private enterprises. Through investigate the management of suppliers and analysis the problem situation, by using the questionnaire, interviews, analysis of the status quo and further determine the cause of the problem. Furthermore, reduce total cost of ownership of YD Company based on vendor management program optimization by application supply chain wheel model, the overall cost of ownership, quality loss function, cost of poor quality, QCC (QualityControl Circle), and other theories. The main contents include:1, to communicate the operation situation of the YD Company with its senior management to determine its future business plans and strategic objectives;2, investigated detail about the sort of materials, suppliers, distribution, supplier performance status of the YD Company;3, analysis of the YD Company's current problem and cause with supplier management activities;4, based on the actual situation of YD companies, application of the above theory and my experience, to explore a system program for YD to achieve its own development strategy by improve supplier management systems. which include: re-positioning the sort of materials based on the cost and quality ,so defined the relationship model with the suppliers; establish a comprehensive evaluation systems for new supplier, and detail implementation methods; delivery performance of suppliers evaluation of four aspects ,based on the Q (quality), C (cost), D (delivery), S (service); strategic partner kind of suppliers of specific training methods; with suppliers to share the improved benefits as an incentive to driving suppliers improve; management how to end the relationship with suppliers and so on;5,the resulting solution based on recent one or two year's status quo with YD. So there may be suitability. To successfully implement this program needs some resources, while also need top management support and participate.
