A Flat-panel Equipment, Strategic Procurement Management Research

With the advent of economic globalization and integration and changes in the competitive environment, enterprise faces a tough test of survival and development. In order to survive and develop, enterprise must adapt to these dramatic changes. In business activities, input cost control has been the lifeline of the enterprise. Currently, in household appliances manufacturing industry, most of Chinese enterprises'products input cost has reached over 70% of income. How to reduce production costs and improve competitiveness has become the focus of each enterprise. To this end, procurement management optimization is becoming increasingly important in the modern enterprise management activities. Also, elevating procurement management activities to the height of corporate strategy is the current and future development direction.In order to research the flat-panel equipment procurement management of company A, this paper applies the procurement and supply chain management theory. According to company's own culture and flat panel equipment industry in China, we focus on the principal contradiction and analyze company A's flat-panel production equipment procurement management problems. On this basis, we propose the way of supplier development and management of strategies and measures, and design business processes and operating mode of strategic sourcing. Through 3 years of actual operation, we solve the absence of technique quality problems in domestic, the monopoly price problem, and the passive acceptance of delivery problems. These make company A and supplier of flat panel equipment establish a long-term stable strategic cooperative relationship to achieve win-win strategic cooperation objectives. At the same time, in the national chain of flat construction equipment industry, the successful implementation of the two sides' cooperation mode gain good social benefits. Overall, this paper provides some references to other manufacturing companies in the construction and implementation of strategic procurement system.
