On Growth Potential Of Agricultural Trade Between China And South America Based On Comparative Advantage

There is a long history since China and South America have relationship of trade and economics. And China became one of the members of American Development Bank, which will significantly accelerate their relationship of trade and economics and their agricultural cooperation and trade. South America is of very importance for China to develop agricultural market and realize its strategy goal of multi-target market agricultural export.Firstly the status of bilateral agricultural trade between China and South America has been analyzed, then trade structure compared, in order to understand characteristics of bilateral agricultural trade; then three questions concerning industry trade characteristics of bilateral agricultural trade, comparative advantage characteristics, complementarities or complete characteristics have been analyzed, in order to confirm relationship of agricultural trade between the two partners; finally, development trend and main problems of agricultural trade among China and different countries in South America have been analyzed. Based on the above study, some reasonable recommendations have been put forward.
