As one of the key technology of wideband CDMA system, soft handover is the keystone of the wireless resource management and optimization. Soft handover arithmetic and related parameter affects the capacity and the service quality of the system directly. Aiming at soft handover technology, the topic used VB to transfer the Matlab M file based on the VB environment and created the performance emulation interface of the soft handover parameters. Mixed programme makes the best use of the function of operation and picture display of Matlab and the convenience of exploitation interface of VB, improving the exploitation efficiency and quality of the software for project calculating.First of all, the paper introduces the soft handover process of WCDMA system in detail on the base of the brief introduction of the characteristics and the key technology including soft handover of the wideband CDMA. In order to know the relationship between the correlative parameters and soft handover performance, the keystone of this paper is: make use of the mixed programme of the VB exploitation platform and Matlab, use VB to call the Matlab M file based on the VB environment and create the performance emulation interface of the soft handover parameters. The paper demonstrates the performance of the three systems which is the system based on link balance, the system based on logarithm across entropy and the system based on direction and distance after summarized the meaning, characteristic and the realization method. Every system has different parameters to choose and different parameters transfer different M files to create according emulation picture. The paper shows the whole system demonstration picture and the operation demonstration flow picture based on the link balance system. The whole demonstration system could be decomposed of four modules The realization method and correlative programme is given. The end of the paper shows the operation flow pictures of the VB interface and analyzes the relationship between the parameters and the soft handover performance based on link balance system.
