With the rapid improvement to desktop operating system and the fast-growing number of desktop users,people have focused on the research of software to support running heterogeneous applications for a few years.The industry also focuses on the operating system with better interoperability.Combined with the variaty of software products and the multiple standard of software,interoperability provides operating systems with the ability to be compatible with heterogeneous services and applications in wider area on usability and extensibility.Therefore, interoperation is one of the key fields in operating system research.This paper discusses interoperability of Space Operating System and exploits details in research and implementation on interoperation mechanism.The project discussed in this paper is of much value to enhance interoperability,usability and extensibility of Space OS,and provides it with wider application area.Meanwhile,Space Interoperation Environment which implemented in this project is stable and of high performance.The implementation has applied to Space Security Computer product series.This paper proposes a new interoperation framework to design and implement Space Interoperation Mechanism which is called Kernel Module Consumer Interoperation Design Framework.And what this paper discusses is based on this framework.This paper consists of five parts.Firstly,this paper discusses the components of Space Interoperation Environment and its functionality.Secondly,this paper discusses Space Service Module which is the implementation of the server in Kernel Module Consumer model,and its components, metaoperation and data structures and algorithms which is used to manage heterogeneous objects. Thirdly,this paper discusses in details of the design and implementation to heterogeneous system call interface,which consists of system call dispatch stub,system call table,system service routine and system service request protocol.Fourthly,this paper discussed in details of the method which is adopted to mapping heterogeneous process image to its virtual address space, the method is called Mixed Process Image Mapping technology and proposed the method to analyze mapping process based on module dependent graph,this paper also describes the design and implementation of this method in Space Interoperation Environment.At last,this paper verifies the interoperability,usability and high performance of Space Interoperation Environment which are the three goals to be achieved by it.Following by the verification,exploitation and analyzation,a summary is given in the end of this paper.
