Digital image color equalization and seam-line removal are very important in the precondition of remote sensing. How to avoid the obvious gap in gray or color after joint images in geometrics is a key problem of remote sensing image processing technologies. It has important meanings to setup the system of image color equalization and seam-line removal in the later processing of remote sensing.The paper mainly studied on the image color equalization and seam-line removal. On the basis of the research results of predecessors, the paper discussed the common processing methods of remote sensing image, and mainly focused on the color equalization approach and the problem of smooth transition of images.This paper analyzes the reasons causing hue (or gray) difference of remote sense image. Then on the basis of the comparison of some general methods in color balance and seam-line removal, this paper presents a new hue (or gray) adjustment and smoothness transition method. Mean while, in order to process colored remote sense image and to reduce space transfer error causing by adjusting large-scale images, relative solutions are put forward. The results indicate that the method proposed above is very effective, simple, easy to realize.
