Intersatellite optical communication with huge communication capacity, small terminal and good secrecy is a potential development area of future satellite communications technology. Pointing, Acquisition and Tracking (PAT) technologies are directly in relation to the building and maintaining of communication link. In recent years, many countries are paying more attention to the research of intersatellite optical communications technology. China has also begun intersatellite optical communications technology research, and obtained some achievements.In system of Intersatellite optical communication the traditional mechanical beam regulation cannot meet the high bandwidth required, so other beam regulations should be taken into consideration. AOD technology is becoming more important because it can realize beam directions control in a higher bandwidth. According to the Acousto-optic properties of the crystal in abnormal TeO2 Bragg Cell and Dixon equation of abnormal Bragg diffraction, parameter vector relationship of abnormal TeO2 Bragg Cell in receiving light route in condition of Bragg diffraction. And the relationships among wavelength of source, direction of ultrasonic wave, incident angle, diffraction angle and acoustic frequency in converse light route are analysed.Dynamic model of abnormal acousto-optic deflector is obtained on the base of that of the normal acousto-optic deflector and then dynamic response capability of abnormal acousto-optic deflector is also researched. The transfer function model of Acousto-optic deflector and FSM are build with Simulink which is a toolbox of Matlab. The result demonstrates that AOD is high repeated precision, Non-mechanical deflection, without overshoot, small volume, light weight and low power consumption, compared with the FSM.According to the precision requirements of abnormal acousto-optic deflector, experiments are designed to test its static performance. On the base of experimental data static performance of abnormal acousto-optic deflector and the main factors affecting it are analysed. The purpose of performance of abnormal acousto-optic deflector testing is achieved, providing the basis for the application of abnormal acousto-optic deflector. Also the main factors affecting performance of abnormal acousto-optic deflector and the approach to improve it are found. This paper has the oretical reference value for the application of AOD in optical communication.
