The Design And Implementation Of Wsp And Wtp Layer In Wap Gateway

With the rapid development of modern society, mobile phone is widely used in our daily life .While mobile network becomes more and more popular , a universal , effective WAP gateway which makes mobile phone connect to Internet through it has great significance.We describe the design and implementation of WAP gateway base on Java in this paper.Mobile phone can visit the web page on Internet through it. Our WAP gateway mainly contains Bearer Module and WAPBox Module. Bearer Module realizes Bearers in WAP Protocol repertory. It receives requirement which is sended from mobile phone. Mobile phone uses the service that provided by WAP gateway through Bearers. It chooses proper WAPBox according the load and message processing queue of the WAPBox, then it sends required message to the WAPBox. Bearer Module runs in different data communication service that bases different network,such as GSM, CDPD,CDMA and so on . It provides accordant service, transparent communication function to the uplayer. WAPBox Module contains WTP Module, WSP Module, HTTP Module, WML Module. WTP Module realizes Wireless Transaction Protocol in the WAP protocol repertory. It deals with the requirement sended from mobile phone through mobile network. It uses WTP Finate State Machine to realize its function . WSP Module realizes Wireless Session Protocol in the WAP protocol repertory. WSP Module deals with WTPEvent of WTP Module. It calls HTTP Module which connects to HTTP server to get web page. Then it sends response to Bearers Module. It uses WSP Finate State Machine to realize its function. HTTP Module connects to Internet to get web page and convert web page on Internet to web page on WML format that can easily display in mobile phone. It also reduces the burden of wireless network.WAP gateway extends the service provide by mobile network. It also facilitates mobile phone users.
