The Study On The Relation Between Facial Expression Recognition And Emotional Intelligence

By reviewing the theory and studies about facial expression recognition and emotional intelligence, we find the lack of research in these areas. This paper studies the relationship between facial expression recognition and emotional intelligence. We use the self-compiled facial expression recognition procedure and EIS scale as our research tool. The study reaches the following conclusions:(1) The test of self-compiled facial expression recognition procedure has well-suited difficulty, high reliability and good separating capacity. This test can be applied to the field of facial expression recognition research.(2) The same as other capabilities, facial expression recognition shows a normal distribution in the crowd. Facial expression recognition has high correlation with emotional intelligence.(3) There is a difference between recognition accuracy and response time.(4) Among the subjects mainly of college students, the scores of different subjects' emotional intelligence and facial expression recognition do not exist in significant differences.
