A Study On Modern Chinese "combine Word"

Lihe words in modern Chinese refers to the syntactic units whose structures are so loose that some other components can be inserted into the original elements, but, generally, the original meaning of it seldom can be changed. According to the traditional grammar in Chinese, the syntactic units are called Lihe words, because they bear the unity and singleness on meaning, which tallies with the characters of words, and display the loose internal combination on structures, which is similar with the characterters of phrases. With the enlargement of Chinese vocabulary, the quantity of these word increases day by day, and this phenomenon arouses the attention of the linguisticians. Basing on the current study of Lihe words and combining the research results of fore fathers, this article tries to open out the characteristic of the phenomenon in the way of deseription, and also discusses the causes of this phenomenon. Meanwhile, the article summarizes Lihe words' structure and syntax characteristic by analyzing its different structural type and expanding form. In addition to, the article puts forward to my own view and suggestion by which we can confirm a word to beLihe word. At the end of the article, it also puts forward to some questions that this article has not discuss thoroughly yet.
