The youth idol drama originated from Japan,and began to spread to our country in 1993.It shows surprising attraction to the young group.In Asia, the Japanese youth idol drama, the Korean youth idol drama as well as Taiwan youth idol drama have placed in top three.And the academia and the industry in the world have aroused great interest and widespread attention to it.However,the development of Chinese mainland youth idol drama has been less than satisfactory all the time.The lag theoretical research and the market space to be diverted,objectively requests us to make systematic combing theoretically to the youth idol drama.This article chooses the youth idol dramas which have appeared on Chinese television screen as the collection,then selects the ones with wide influence among them to study.By the transverse and the longitudinal comparative analysis,sum up the definition,constitute elements and the development pattern of youth idol drama.In order to help with the industry creation in the future,it is hoped that the problem existing in the Chinese mainland youth idol drama will be observed according to the comparative analysis with the youth idol dramas produced by other countries.In view of the countries and regions which have formed the stable manufacture mode in Asia at present have three:Japan,Korea and Taiwan,and in particular the Korean youth idol drama has the most extensive infection.So this comparative study will take the Korean youth idol drama as the emphases,try to explore its mature typological manufacture pattern thoroughly.Finally,this article also indicates that if Chinese mainland youth idol drama wants to break the sleepy bureau,it is necessary to explore the traditional aesthetic connotations and build national brands on the base of respecting type of model.Only in this way can we produce the Chinese mainland youth idol drama loved by the majority of the audience and really belongs to our own.
