Objective:to observe the effects about the combination of radices salviae miltiorrhizae to the MMP-9,TIMP-1 in the serum of AECOPD patients.Method:60 cases of the acute phase,moderate-severe COPD patients and 30 healthy cases were chosen,60 cases of the acute phase, moderate-severe COPD patients were enrolled by the partnership whose ratio was 1 to 1, based on the ages,sex, period of illness,the grade of COPD, number of CPIS. The 60 cases of the acute phase, moderate-severe COPD patients were divided into group A(the radices salviae miltiorrhizae treatment group)with 30cases,group B(routine treatment group) with 30 cases and group C (healthy cases) with 30cases.The two groups of A and B were given the general treatment, period of therapy were 7-10 days,additionally group A was given radices salviae miltiorrhizae sterile injection powder,each a time 800mg,once a day, it's period of therapy were 7-10 days.The group A and the group B before the treatment(acute phase),after treatment(steady phase)and the group C(healthy group) were measured numerical values of the MMP-9 and TIMP-1,ratio of MMP-9/TIMP-1 in the plasma with method of ELASA.Result:the level of MMP-9 in the plasma between the group A and group B, acute phase patients' results were higher than that of steady phase (P<0.01),steady phase patients' results were much than that of group C (P<0.01).Group A comparred with group B, the level of MMP-9 in the plasma in the acute phase patients' results had no statistical meaning (P >0.05), the level of MMP-9 in the plasma in the steady phase patients' results between group A and group B,the former was lower than the later (P<0.01), the level of TIMP-1 in the plasma between the group A and group B, acute phase patients' results were higher than that of steady phase, and higher than that of group C too (P<0.01). Group A comparred with group B, the level of TIMP-lin the plasma in the acute phase and steady phase patients' results had no statistical meaning (P>0.05), the level of MMP-9/TIMP-1 in the plasma between the group A and group B, acute phase patients' results were higher than that of steady phase (P<0.01), steady phase patients' results were much than that of group C (P<0.01). Group A comparred with group B, the level of MMP-9/TIMP-1 in the plasma in the acute phase and steady phase patients' results had no statistical meaning (P >0.05).Conclusion:MMP-9 was associated with the airway inflammatory formation, TIMP-1 was associated with the airway repairing process,the imbalance about the MMP-9/TIMP-1 occurd in the formation of COPD. the radices salviae miltiorrhizae probably inhibited matrix proteinases,and had the effect of protection and treatment to the COPD patients. |
