Part 1 Measure Research of the Japanese white big-ear rabbit Airway with Spiral CTObjective To analyze the airway tree of Japanese white big-ear rabbit with spiral CT images. To make a base for animal experiment of trachea disease by intervention treatment.Methods Length, inner diameter(ventral-dorsal and lateral) and angle of the airways in lung of 30 adults rabbits underwent health examination were measured with three-dimensional spiral CT images. It included trachea, right and left mainstem bronchi, middle bronchus,left and right upper lobe bronchial.Results The inner diameters of every part of the trachea and upper lobe bronchial were no dependablity. The length and inner diameter of right mainstem bronchi, right upper lobe bronchial larger than the left ones. The angles of sagittal plane of trachea and right mainstem bronchi were larger than left one. And they had any correlation.Conclusions The complex branching structure of the rabbit airway tree can be examined using spiral CT images. We can get the regressive equation of inner diameters, lengths, angle of right and left mainstem bronchi by measuring the SCT images. We can provid the anatomy parameter of rabbit trachea,bronchus for experiment. Part 2 Establishment of obstructive atelectasis animal model with tracheobronchial part-coverd stentObjective To discuss the technology of stent insertion in the rabbit's trachea and make a base for animal experiment. To evaluate the feasibility of an obstructive atelectasis animal model with tracheobronchial part-coverd stent ,with the aim to improve the repeatability and controllability of the model.Methods Forty-two Japanese White rabbits, weighing 2.50 kg ,were randomly divided into seven groups: group 2d,4d,1w,2w,1m,2m,3m(n=6).We put tracheobronchial part-coverd stent in 42 rabbit's chest by the guiding of DSA in the light anesthesia condition. The weight,temperature,WBC count and MSCT were performed in every group preoperative and Specified time to determine whether the formation of obstructive atelectasis.Results We put 42 stents successfully and 35 stents were correct location,3 stents were shift. Four rabbits were made pneumothorax in the operation and dead. The successful rate of stent placement was 83%. Three rabbits were dead after operation and two did not form atelectasis. The successful rate of atelectasis formation was 74%.Conclusion It was a good technology to insert the tracheobronchial part-coverd stent in rabbits by the guiding of DSA in the light anesthesia condition. The method was simple and easy. The successful rate of stent implantation and atelectasis formation were higher.Chapter 3 The study for MSCT imaging and pathologic correlation of obstructive atelectasis in experimental animal modelObjective At present, tracheal stenting is an effective and minimally invasive method to treat obstructive atelectasis. However, the best time to treat obstructive atelectasis has no uniform. Our aim of the experimental animal model in pulmonary atelectasis is to discuss the relevance of MSCT and patholog. It contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive atelectasis.Methods Fourty-eight healthy adult rabbits were randomly divided into eight groups, one control group and seven experimental groups. Firstly, we put tracheobronchial stent in each rabbit airway to produce atelectasis model in the experimental group. At specified time we measured MSCT value and executed rabbits. Got collapse lung tissue and did pathology. To analysis the correlation for the mode of obstructive atelectasis in MSCT and pathology.Results The CT density of atelectasis was increased with the time. The correlation of MSCT images and pathological changes sign was as follows: The alveolar collapsed in the first 4 days . Pulmonary telangiectasia had congestive and the density of the atelectasis was low. During 7 days and 1 month because of the lung tissue having inflammatory exudation, there were much inflammatory cells in alveolar. The density was between 30-40Hu in this period of obstructive pneumonia. During after one month the lung inflammation gradually decreased,and the inflammatory cells mainly concentrated around bronchioles and within the wall. The bronchiole mucosa and smooth muscle had a little damage two months later. There were a large number of bronchiectasis in lung tissue durng the 3 months and full of much inflammatory cells in bronchiole. The alveolar epithelial had hyperplasia and becamed thicken. The MSCT density was 40Hu in this period. The pulmonary atelectasis enhancement was not very uniform, 7d and 14d obviously enhanced.Conclusion The best treatment time of obstructive atelectasis was the bronchus not having damage and before the formation of bronchiectasis. The best CT value was under 40Hu. Obstructive atelectasis eventually become bronchiectasis processlygradually.
