| Objective:To study the expression of OCT4 and isoforms (OCT4a and OCT4b) in bladder cancer.Methods:The expression of OCT4 and isoforms (OCT4a and OCT4b) in normal bladder tissues and bladder cancer tissues and cell lines was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot.Results:Both protein and mRNA expression of OCT4a were not detected in bladder cancer tissues, but OCT4b mRNA and possibly OCT4b protein was expressed in bladder cancer tissues.Conclusion:Our results imply that OCT4b may have a close relationship with the bladder cancer stem cell markers, but this still needs further research data to support. |
