The paper has investigated the effects of six Xingjiang local plants extractions, which including shikonin, capsicum red pigment, lycopene, safflower red, safflower yellow, LBP, paclitaxe and lentinan, on the growth of in vitro culture HeLa cell. The results showed that at 24 h after incubation, the control group count is 12.56±0.76(×10~4cell/mL), that of the group of shikonin, capsicum red pigment, lycopene, safflower red, safflower yellow, LBP, paclitaxe and lentinan at 7.8μg/mL, the count is 6.34±1.92, 12.08±1.34, 12.48±1.05, 13.06±0.60, 12.58±0.77, 12.60±1.13, 3.38±1.04 and 12.08±1.34 (×10~4cell/mL), respectively; at 62.5μg/mL, the count is 2.95±1.24, 12.05±0.91, 12.90±1.86, 12.34±0.92, 12.17±0.58, 12.82±0.99, 1.13±0.82 and 12.05±0.91 (×10~4cell/mL), respectively; at 125.0μg/mL, the respective count is 2.76±1.26, 12.19±1.72, 12.58±0.42, 12.00±0.67, 11.95±0.71, 12.36±0.61, 1.02±0.67 and 12.19±1.72 (×10~4 cell/mL), respectively. At 48 h after incubation, the control group count is 19.00±0.71(×10~4cell/mL), the group of shikonin, capsicum red pigment, lycopene, safflower red, safflower yellow, LBP, paclitaxe and lentinan at 7.8μg/mL, the count is 9.31±5.13, 18.26±1.33, 18.83±0.55, 16.06±2.45, 16.97±0.50, 17.96±1.04, 0.29±0.16 and18.26±1.33 (×10~4cell/mL), respectively; at 62.5μg/mL, the count is 0.55±0.25, 18.04±1.45, 18.05±1.30, 16.28±2.06, 17.75±0.61, 18.93±0.69, 0.02±0.03 and 18.04±1.45 (×10~4cell/mL), respectively; at 125.0μg/mL, the count is 0.51±0.28, 18.67±0.69, 17.99±1.53, 15.76±2.48, 17.18±0.77, 18.26±0.68, 0.02±0.04 and 18.67±0.69 (×10~4cell/mL), respectively. At 24 h after incubation, the cell smear of Giemsa colour indicated that, compared to the control group, the cell shapes of lentinan, LBP, capsicum red pigment, lycopene, safflower red, safflower yellow group were not significant different; after the affect of shikonin, the cell colour is dispersed, and had significant deviation with control group. The experiment got conclusion that among the 8 plants extractions, only paclitaxe (positive control group) and shikonin can inhibit HeLa cell group, and capsicum red pigment, lycopene, safflower red, safflower yellow, LBP and lentinan didn't have this affect.
