Arctium Ecological Suitability Study

Purpose:This article includes:National 11th Five-Year Plan major scientific and technological issues-the ecological suitability analysis technique and the division of the suitable growing area of Arctium lappa L. (2006BAI09B02-6);The issues of national Pharmacopoeia Committee -- revised amount of quality standards for Arctium lappa L. and Arctium pieces(YD-01,YD-02). We carried on the investigation to the resources of Arctium lappa L. in China and the study of its ecological suitability through a variety of methods and divide the suitable growing area. The quality standards draft was formulated for Pharmacopoeia edition in 2010 referencing.Method and Results:To use the correlation analysis, regression analysis—the method of SPSS statistical software, analyse different factors which affect the quality of Arctium lappa L. We found the minimum temperature of January was the key factor that determined the Arctium grain weight. Nurtured seed weight was big at low temperature environment, and its internal storage of nutrients were more; Metals in soil, the contents of Zn, Mg, Pb especially, had serious negative impact on its weight; And then the key ecological factors which affected the percentage of seed grains were Zn, Mg; High Zn content in soil was beneficial to the accumulation of arctigenin and so on.To use the TCMGIS divide the suitable growing area of Arctium lappa L. first time. To establish new method for DNA Bar Code identification for Fructus Arctii.by determining the ITS sequences of the plant from different places. To base on the method of TLC, Microscopic identification in Pharmacopoeia edition in 2005, establish inspection method of Arctium pieces.Conclusion:1 We collected Fructus Arctii soil samples and recorded the growth environment in detail, as well as the data of various ecological factors. Fructus Arctii at the northeastern region was rich in resources and had the better quality.2 Through the mathematical statistics,we studyed and determined the key factors which affected the quality of Arctium lappa L.3 Fructus Arctii had nationwide distribution4 The method of determination about Arctium pieces was made by consulting the identification and check of Arctium lappa L. in Pharmacopoeia edition in 2005.
