The Jilin Province is located in Northeast China, It is one of the main grain-producing provinces of China, fortunately it is one of "Three Golden Zones of. Maize" in the world, just as American Maize Zone and Ukrainian Maize Zone. Jilin province has advantaged to cultivate maize and has dominant position in maize production and imports & exports. Therefore, maize has became advantage crop in Jilin province.At present, we have amount of high-starch maize acreage, but has not achieved a considerable scale and cannot meet the Maize processing's need. As maize processing project built and put into production, the demand for high-starch maize is on the increase (Has outstrip 200 Mt/Y). This promote the maize planting structure adjustment in Jilin Province.Due to the effects of lower temperature of spring arid climate in the Eastern mountain and mid-level regions of Jinlin, few high-starch maize suit to be grow here. Additionally, lack of research and promote on cold and drought resistance of new maize variety. It becomes a stumbling block in high-starch maize production and processing. Meanwhile, lack of research, demonstration and promotion in the high-starch maize's production mode which integrated of research, manufacture and marketing. Therefore, with the new variety of maize, we need high quality, high yield and high profit technology during production.In recent years, we succeeded in cultivating high-starch maize "jiudan 64" and "zhongzhong 868" (jiudan 70). The results of experiment showed that "jiudan 64" and "zhongzhong 868" increased to 11.8% and 11.1% respectively and starch content 74.44% and 74.55% respectively in demonstration areas. After inoculation, two new maize varieties are suitable for planting in the Eastern Mountain Regions of Jinlin. They can resistance to smut, corn stalk rot, sphacelotheca smut, exserohilum turcicum and curvularia disesse. Meanwhile, with "study of Maize high-yield culture technique" and "promotion of Maize temperature warming technique in Mid-level Regions of Jinlin" research used in demonstration zones, greatly increase economic benefits for peasants. Through the integration of the research, production, marketing, the promotion of high-starch maize production achieve complete success. Hence it pushing increase income of peasants, enterprise efficiency and the sustainable development of agriculture.
