Urumqi Garden Species Survey, Assessment And Planning

This article mainly focuses on the systematic investigation and study of treesand vegetation for garden, according to the standard classification of city greengrounds CJJ/T85-2002. We made a series of investigation, statistic, analysis andassessment for the popular vegetation type at the present. With comprehensionof the city ecology, aesthetics of garden, and garden planning, and the regularpattern of ecology and vegetation, and the fact that the city of Urumqi stands asthe center of politics, culture, economy and transportation, we made a overall planof the vegetation for the city, making the preparation for the beautification for thecity.According to the statistics, there are roughly 132 species of trees in Urumqi,among them 17 are evergreen trees, 115 are deciduous, the ratio of evergreen anddeciduous are 1:6.76; from which we can see the climate and vegetation ofUrumqi.We went to Urumqi, and made an investigation, making an overall analysisof soil and environment condition. With the statistics we got, the assessment ofthe coordination of vegetation and development of city was made. Try to structurean beautiful, pleasing environment, and thus made an overall rule for theplanning of Urumqi: 1. ecology priority. 2. specialty and innovation 3. paticulateplace for patuculate trees. 4. continuable development. And pointed out severalshort comings of the city planning for Urumqi: disproportion of space allocation,too little vegetation in the city, unitary of the tree species, low vegetation coverageper person.After this investigation, we made a choice of basic and main trees for the city,and made specific plan of species of trees for the protection forest, trees on sidesof road, perpendicular vegetation.
