In this study 4 generations of population Mobai 962 of exotic maize gennplasm were studied by major a~nomic train, peroxidase isozyme and random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) market The results as following: 1 .Generations among population Mobai 962 bad real genetic variation in major agronomic traits. Genetic variation among generations had more different genetic variation than that within generations. Generations of Cl.C2.C3 had rich genetic variation by selection. The ASI was 4.3 days in generation C3 and it was not sensitive to photoperiod and adapted ecological environment in YAAN. 2.Six different pemxidase zymogranis were observed among generations of Mobai 962. Generations of CO.C I .C2 had the same belts of peroxidase. Generation of C3 had one endemic belt-RFO.06 and missed one belt-RFO.3 1. 3.44) arityaiy (lO-mers) were used for the PCR amplification of random genoniic DNA fragments. Some 2.5% (amount to l)of the primers could amplify polymorphic bancL3 amplified bands among 5 were polymorphic. It suggested that the genetic vanatlon were existed among generations. 4.Method of groq mass selection is effective to reduce the photoperiod sensitivity of exotic germplasm and improve it's adaptation.
